Knit-A-Bit, LLC and the Metropolitan Machine Knitters Guild

are proud to present
Pacifically PASSAP Plus 2011
A fragrance-free machine knitting seminar in Portland, Oregon
May 27, 28 & 29
This year is going to be different.  We are including Japanese machine classes, so if you have other machines besides a Passap, you will have a choice of attending those classes.  The format for the weekend is as follows:  Friday night will be a short get together for introducing the instructors and a discussion/lecture on yarn, Saturday will have a 2 hour class in the morning and 1 hour and a 2 hour class in the after noon, Sunday will have two 2 hour classes that are repeats in most cases of the 2 hour classes presented on Saturday.  We hear so many comments from attendees that they couldn’t take all the classes that they wanted, we thought we’d give you a chance to catch one on Sunday that you couldn’t go to on Saturday.
Instructors for the Passap will be Barbara Scanlon, Sharon Minrath, Billie Hall, and Pat Groves.  Instructors for the Japanese machines will be Sarah Etchison, Mary Anne Oger, Helen Koshak, Judith Bartel, and Bea Carriere.  Muriel Donker will be instructing on machines that have no automatic patterning capability (we know that a lot of you have those machines and didn’t want you to feel slighted).
Please note the words “fragrance-free” above.  This is extremely important.  Several of our attendees and a couple of our instructors are highly allergic to fragrances of any kind (shampoos, lotions, clothes dried with scented dryer sheets, perfumes, hair sprays, etc.).  We will include a list of fragrance free products with the pre-seminar packet that you will receive.  If you have questions or concerns about being ‘fragrance-fee”, please don’t hesitate to contact me at pgroves@ccwebster.net.
